That one time they ACTUALLY DECIDED TO MAKE AN ANIMATED JTODDZ MOVIE!

Okay, so if you're an avid comic fan, chances are you've already heard about the Under the Red Hood movie. You've probably ALSO already seen this:

and read THIS ARTICLE about the film.

Now, if you know me (or read my Twitter), you know that I am rather fervent in my love of Jason Todd. I find him a compelling character, when written well that is, and the story surrounding his death and resurrection tragic. I am more than just an "OMG I LOVE DEAD ROBINZ" fangirl. ....Despite my tendency to capslock tweet about him. I promise I'm well-educated where this is concerned. ....Probably more than I should be.

So naturally? I am BEYOND excited for this film. Let's break it down!

1. Jason is FINALLY getting some well deserved attention. Under the Hood was an amazing story, in my opinion, and it gave Todd so much potential as a character. Whether it was used well or not after that? Well, that's an entirely different blogpost (damn you, Battle for the Cowl).
2. Bruce Timm. Do I really need to say anything else? Didn't think so.
3. Judd Winnick. Now I know there's a lot of debate about Judd Winnick's writing skills, and there's even been a few works of his I was iffy about (once again, that's a whole different blog entry)... but as previously stated? Under the Hood? Excellent. So the fact that he is also penning this movie gives me hope that it will remain faithful to all the characters and the original story. :
4. The voice-acting cast!
   *Jensen Ackles? I had posters of him in my room was I was younger (as I watched Days of Our Lives with my mom ALL the time). He's perfect. And his voice is YUMMY.
   *Neil Patrick Harris as Nightwing? Also perfect. I know there's some skepticism about this? But this man is wildly talented. I think he can pull it off.
   *Jason Isaacs as Ra's? Yeah. I don't know why I never thought of that either.
   *John DiMaggio as Joker? I know. I KNOW. Mark Hamill is THE Joker. We all know this. But he's not coming back and I don't think that should ruin the prospect of a good movie. DiMaggio is a talented voice actor, and I personally can't wait to hear a different take on the character.
   *....And I know Batman is from Star Trek... but I have no idea who that actor is, so I really have no opinion. But given the rest of the cast? I assume he's going to be decent.

So all you naysayers can.... go keep on having your opinions on the internet and whatnot. I, however, will be waiting in anticipation for this.

...And hoping Booster Gold is next in line. :D
